  6. Please clean up after yourself, don’t leave your trash.
  7. Membership is your responsibility to maintain. If your membership is expired and you race, your points will not be counted at that race even if you have already accumulated points. Points will be awarded to the member in good standing – no exceptions.

 Year End Award Rules

A couple of points regarding eligibility for year end awards.

  1. You must sell 40 raffle tickets  (Open and Youth only).
  2. You must be a member of District 17 in good standing throughout period of accumulating points. (This includes PeeWees)
  3. Points are given out to the top 5 members in each division. 5 pts to 1st place, 4 pts to 2nd, etc. In the case of a tie, the higher point is awarded to both members and the next place is skipped.

Example:

Rider 1 – 1st (5pts)

Rider 2 – 2nd/ /3rd  (4pts) tie

Rider 3 – 2nd/ /3rd  (4pts) tie

Rider 4 – 4th (2 pts)

Rider 5 – 5th (1pt)

  1. At the end of the season, ties will be awarded to the member with the most higher places.

Example:

Rider 1 – 1st (5pts), 3rd (3pts), 4th (2pts)  = 10 pts

Rider 2 – 3rd (3pts), 2nd(4pts), 3rd (3pts) = 10 pts.

Rider 1 will take the higher placing because of the 1st place win.

  1. In the event of a tie for 1st place (saddle), we will try to come to an agreement with the winners on who takes the saddle and who takes the buckle. If an agreement can’t be reached then we will have a runoff at a time and date mutually agreed to by all of us. The runoff will not be held at a race.

Note: this circumstance is only for ties that cannot be broken by the points for 1st place, then 2nd place, etc.  only.
